From Monte Sereo you can quickly reach the cities of Padua<\/strong> (km 20), Vicenza<\/strong> (km 25), Venice<\/strong> (km 70), Verona<\/strong> (km 76), Treviso (km 82).<\/p>\n

The whole area is rich in history, with the first settlements of the Venetians whose testimonies can be seen in Este at the National Atestino Museum<\/strong> and in Padua at the Eremitani Civic Museum<\/strong> i. It is highly suggested to visit the medieval fortified cities of Monselice, Este and Montagnana<\/strong>, the village of Arqu\u00e0 Petrarca<\/strong>, which hosted the poet in the last years of his life, the Camaldolese monastery on Mount Rua, the Benedictine abbey of Praglia.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator]\n\t

Nearby there are some ancient quarries, already active in Roman times, with the remains of the kilns that transformed the limestone rock of these hills into precious construction material, also praised by Andrea Palladio<\/strong> ( visit the nearby museum of the Cava Bomba furnace in Cinto Euganeo ).<\/p>\n

In the museum of the Bacchiglione river in the Castle of S.
